This iconic heritage house stands as a gracious sentinel on the Kwaaiwater promontory, overlooking the waters of Walker Bay. Built in the early 1900’s 4 on Kwaaiwater is one of the oldest houses in Hermanus and is listed by the National Heritage House Commission as a house of significance. Fronting on the sea and cliff path at a point called “Die Neus”, the house is bordered on both east and west by pockets of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve. During the whale season, you can whale watch from the house. A gate from the front garden gives direct access to the renowned 13 km cliff path. The property is situated at the end of a quiet cul de sac in Kwaaiwater, one of the most desirable suburbs in Hermanus. The house consist of six bedrooms and five bathrooms with loads of additionals and can accomodate up to 11 persons.

Built in the Arts and Crafts style made famous in this country by Sir Herbert Baker. Bought by the present owners in 1992, the house was lovingly and thoughtfully restored.
